This is a great side dish to any indian or middle eastern meal

Yield: 4 people

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cucumber
  • 2dl turkish (or greek) yogurth, we use lactose free
  • salt
  • brown mustard seeds

What to do

  1. wash the cucumber and grate with coarse grater
  2. press the grated cucumber to extract the juice, then put in a bowl
  3. add yogurth and salt
  4. in a heated pan, add mustard seeds and heat until they start popping (or until they become grey) – it goes fast at high heat (max 3-5 minutes, don’t leave and do something else)
  5. as soon as the mustard seeds are ready, add to the yogurth and stir
