This is a great side dish to any indian or middle eastern meal
Yield: 4 people
Ingredients
- 1/2 cucumber
- 2dl turkish (or greek) yogurth, we use lactose free
- salt
- brown mustard seeds
What to do
- wash the cucumber and grate with coarse grater
- press the grated cucumber to extract the juice, then put in a bowl
- add yogurth and salt
- in a heated pan, add mustard seeds and heat until they start popping (or until they become grey) – it goes fast at high heat (max 3-5 minutes, don’t leave and do something else)
- as soon as the mustard seeds are ready, add to the yogurth and stir
